How to choose
- CH340G USB-TTL — the cheapest UART adapter, 5V/3.3V switch; Pro Mini, ESP8266, GPS module tests.
- CP2102 — more stable, driver-free on Mac and Linux; most ESP32/ESP8266 boards use this very chip.
- ST-Link V2 — STM32 and STM8 programming and debug (SWD); with STM32CubeProgrammer.
- BIOS SPI cable (SOP8 clip) — read/write 25xx flash without desoldering; laptop repair.
- MAX485 / USB-RS485 — industrial lines up to 1200 m, Modbus RTU; MCP2515 — automotive CAN.
- Logic level shifter — 4-channel bidirectional 5V↔3.3V, works for I2C too.
Compatibility
All work with the Arduino IDE / PlatformIO; USB devices are auto-detected on Windows 10/11 (except CH340 — driver in our lessons).
