How to choose
- NRF24L01 — two-way, 2 Mbit/s, 6-device network; 100 m in the open, the PA+LNA antenna version up to 1 km.
- 433MHz pair — one-way, simple, cheap; gate remotes, sensor uplinks; RadioHead / RCSwitch library.
- STX882 + SRX882 — a more sensitive 433MHz version, longer range.
- SYN115 / SYN480R — separate transmitter and receiver; build your own remote.
Compatibility
NRF24L01 is 3.3V (from the Arduino 3.3V pin with a 10µF capacitor); 433MHz modules are 5V; all work with Arduino and ESP32.
